Howard Middle teacher using grant money to publish books with students’ stories
Howard Middle School journalism students will soon see their names in print. Victoria Frayne, seventh- and eight-grade journalism connections teacher, is using her $3,000 Dollar General Literacy Foundation grant to publish two books containing personal stories from students.
The first semester book should be published in early 2017 and the second semester book by May. Students are working on their pieces now, and each will have his own chapter. The books will be edited and prepared online through the Classroom Authors website.
