Man seen cramming air fresheners in pants
Dispatches: A shoplifting suspect dashed out of the Kroger on Presidential Parkway one morning in early June. A Bibb County sheriff’s report said the suspect, a 50-year-old man, bolted into some woods and darted across Eisenhower Parkway behind Sam’s Club. A sheriff’s deputy chased him down. Surveillance video at the west Macon supermarket reportedly showed the man hiding 16 Glade PlugIns in his pants. It wasn’t clear whether the air fresheners were recovered — or what scent they were. . . . A woman who lives on Walnut Street in Macon told the police that she and her husband were trimming weeds in their yard June 12 when they found a dirt-covered, Hi-Point .380-caliber pistol. . . . On July 6, a guy who lives on Ridgeland Avenue on the west side of Macon’s Unionville neighborhood reported that someone had stolen $200 worth of socket wrenches and other tools from his car. A sheriff’s report said the man wasn’t sure who might have taken the stuff, but he thought it could involve a fellow he knows by the name of “Dookie Love.”
