Man knocked cold in east Macon for drinking last of pal’s liquor
Neighbors hollered for an ambulance. There’d been a fight. A man, knocked cold, was lying in front of a house in east Macon. When an ambulance arrived there on Appling Court off Shurling Drive, the man, 35, was helped to his feet and attended to by paramedics. Someone who’d seen the May 14 scuffle told a Bibb County sheriff’s deputy that the person who’d decked the man was a guy named “T-Dog,” who according to an incident report was thought to be the victim’s best friend. The witness went on to say that the men had clashed “over a cup of liquor.” The spat began the night before when the fellow who’d later been knocked cold supposedly drank the last of “T-Dog’s” liquor. The type of alcohol involved wasn’t noted. The suspect was said to have run off. The wounded man lost two teeth in the tussle. At first he told a sheriff’s deputy that “he did not wish to press charges. However, at the urging of his family, he stated he would.”
