Suspicious man wanders onto Macon woman’s property and asks to go for swim
A woman who lives off Zebulon Road near Carlyle Place called the cops Nov. 2 about a suspicious man who had wandered onto her property. From the looks of a Bibb County sheriff’s report about the matter, the man seemed somewhat disturbed. He told the woman who lives there that her land, a wooded lot with a pond, seemed “farm-like,” the report noted, and that he “figured he could get hired to take care” of the place. The guy refused to leave and said he wanted to go for a swim in the pond. A sheriff’s deputy arrived and arrested the man for trespassing. The Cop Shop has since learned the man, who is 38, was released from prison in Florida last December. He has served three prison terms in that state since 2003, including sentences for burglary, car theft and, most recently, robbery.
