Dispatches: A 24-year-old Macon woman reportedly went into a medical office on Hemlock Street one afternoon in late October seeking treatment. Trouble was, she had no insurance and “when she was told that she would have to pay a $100 co-pay she became upset,” a Bibb County sheriff’s report of the episode said. “The suspect then reached across the counter and grabbed a 16-ounce cup of soda and threw it at the employees, spilling soda all over the counter and computer and various office equipment.” The woman took off before the police arrived. . . . Overheard on Bibb sheriff’s radio the evening of Nov. 10: A dispatcher informing a patrol deputy that an alert citizen had dialed 911 to report seeing “somebody landing from a parachute” somewhere in Macon.
