Forsyth man charged with trafficking ecstasy

A 39-year-old Forsyth man is charged with trafficking in ecstasy after being stopped Wednesday by state troopers for a speeding violation.

Derrell L. Denson additionally is charged with speeding, driving under the influence, possession of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, according to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Denson complained of medical problems and was taken to the Monroe County Hospital for treatment. Upon his discharge he was arrested and taken to the sheriff’s office where he’s awaiting a bond hearing, according to the release.
