Cops: Mom tells son to dry dishes, son slaps her
After being told to dry the dishes he’d washed Tuesday evening, a young man allegedly slapped his mother several times at her southwest Macon home.
Arquabious Deshon Crockett, 23, was charged with battery and jailed after the assault, which happened on O’Hara Drive North in the Bloomfield neighborhood, a Bibb County sheriff’s report said.
Crockett’s mother’s left eye was “visibly swollen” when deputies arrived at her house about 6:30 p.m., the report noted.
The 40-year-old mother told deputies that her son “hit her because she told him that he had to dry the dishes when he finished washing them,” the report said. “(Crockett) stated that he did indeed hit his mother because she didn’t need to talk to him that way and he was defending himself.”
