Man shot Sunday in south Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old Sunday night in south Macon.
Arquallis Coger told deputies he was walking west on Newberg Avenue when he heard several gunshots and started running, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Coger was shot in the upper chest and hand, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Coger reported two different accounts of the incident to sheriff’s office, the release said. The shooting is being investigated.
