Telfair sheriff’s deputies search for assault suspect

Telfair County deputies and McRae-Helena police are looking for a suspect in a violent attack last month that caused potentially life-threatening injuries to the victim.

Ramello Deeds, 20, is accused in an aggravated assault on Willow Creek Lane in McRae that resulted in a man being air-lifted for “advanced medical treatment,” according to the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

“He bashed this guy in the head with a brick,” Sheriff Chris Steverson said

Deeds should be considered “armed and dangerous,” he said.

Anyone with information about Deeds’ whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office at 229-868-6621.
