Man shot multiple times in south Macon drive-by

A 26-year-old is in critical but stable condition after a drive-by shooting in the 400 block of Ibex Street Thursday evening.

Elbert Jordan, of Macon, was at a gathering with friends around 7:30 p.m. when shots were fired from a passing vehicle, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Jordan was struck multiple times and was transported to Medical Center, Navicent Health, according to the release. No one else was injured during the incident.

No description of the vehicle was given in the release.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for the on-call investigator, or call the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
