Two charged in Macon robbery, shooting

Two people have been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault in connection with the April 1 shooting of a man in the 2000 block of Jeffersonville Road.

Milton Brown, 27, was shot in his right arm just before 1 a.m., according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

An investigation showed Brown was going to visit 26-year-old Kymarica Banks at 2080 Jeffersonville Road, but Banks was part of a plan to rob Brown, according to the sheriff's office.

Jimorion Coxton, 23, is accused of robbing and shooting Brown, deputies say.

Banks was arrested Thursday afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Coxton turned himself in to investigators Thursday night, according to the sheriff's office.

Banks and Coxton are being held at the county jail without bond.
