Two Georgia men indicted for alleged Macon sex crimes

Two Georgia men were indicted by a Bibb County grand jury Tuesday on rape charges.

Caleb Jordan Eubanks, 26, of Griffin, is being held without bond at the county jail in connection with a rape that authorities say happened in Macon last November.

Eubanks was also indicted on an aggravated assault charge under the family violence statute for allegedly trying to strangle the same victim.

He also faces a gun-possession charge in the same episode for allegedly violating conditions of his first-offender probation from a prior offense.

In another case, Esley Lucius Smith, of Douglasville, was indicted on statutory rape, aggravated child molestation and aggravated stalking charges.

In late 2013 and early 2014, Smith, now 34, allegedly was involved in sex acts with a Macon girl under the age of 16.

Smith has been locked up at the Bibb jail since July of 2014 in lieu of $55,200 bond.
