GBI investigates slaying of Baldwin County woman
A slain 73-year-old woman was found by a family member mid-afternoon Wednesday at a home in Baldwin County.
Sheriff Bill Massee said the GBI is helping with the investigation. The name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of her brother, Massee said.
The woman, a white female, was found dead in a home at 143 Bill Johnson Road, Massee said.
"Due to a little bit of complexity in the crime scene, (the GBI and the sheriff's office) are going to work it together ... just because of the size of the house and what we found in the house," Massee said. "We're trying to get in touch with some family members right now."
