Fort Valley police work to identify armed robber

Fort Valley police are looking for a man responsible for an armed robbery early Sunday at the Flash Foods on Blue Bird Boulevard, according to a news release from the department.

A man walked inside the store about 1 a.m. brandishing a gun and demanding money from the cash register, the release said. The man ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

"We have suspects in this incident and our detectives are following up leads and witness information now," sheriff's Capt. Jerrell Smith said in the release.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man is asked to call the Fort Valley Police Department at 478-825-3383.
