Man shot in Macon, clams up in Warner Robins

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting early Sunday in which the victim wasn't talking.

The Houston Medical Center reported the shooting about 5:30 a.m. after a man showed up with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder, according to a release.

Jeronte Johnson, 26, of Warner Robins, declined to tell investigators anything about the shooting. He was treated and released.

However, two men who were not identified told investigators they were with Johnson when the shooting happened. According to the release, they said they had left Club Status on Pio Nono Avenue in Macon and were headed south on Ga. 247 back to Warner Robins. They said a small red vehicle drove up along side their vehicle and someone shot at their vehicle, striking Johnson. They drove him to Houston Medical Center.
