Woman shot in west Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 24-year-old was shot in her leg just after midnight Monday morning in west Macon.

Falon Tomberline, 24, told investigators she was standing in the street outside a house on Hollis Road talking with others when she heard gunfire and someone with her said, "Run," according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Tomberline suffered a gunshot wound to her upper right leg. She was driven to a hospital by a third party and was listed as stable, the release said.
