Five arrested after monthlong investigation into Gray heroin sales

A monthlong multi-agency investigation into heroin sales out of an apartment in Gray resulted in five arrests Wednesday afternoon, according to a post by Jones County Sheriff Butch Reece on the office's Facebook page.

The arrests come after a 5:30 p.m. search of a unit in the 100 section of The Colonnade Apartments on East Clinton Street by the sheriff's office, Gray Police Department and United States Marshal Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Jaylon Amon Patrick, 21, who was wanted out of Oklahoma City, was found with heroin and charged with multiple counts of sale and intent to distribute the drug, the sheriff said in the post.

Sidney Scott, 47, of Macon, possession of prescription pills with the intent to distribute; Jesse James Tidwell, 28, and Kenneth Liles, 34, both of Macon, were each arrested on outstanding warrants for possession of meth; Matthew Donald Dyer, 27, of Gray, was arrested on outstanding warrants pertaining to a November case in Jones County, the sheriff said in the post. Dyer was also in possession of methamphetamine and will face additional charges.
