A man wanted for multiple offenses, including an alleged burglary of a Bibb County Board of Education building, was arrested Thursday evening in southeast Georgia.

Timothy Lee Rogers Sr. was taken into custody near Statesboro in Bulloch County just after 5 p.m., said Deputy John Edgar of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Rogers was spotted at a store near Interstate 16 before he ran into a wooded area.

"They had a perimeter set up and a helicopter spotted him," Edgar said. "Members of the task force and the sheriff's office down there ... cornered him and got him."
