Macon man says he was robbed of Nike shoes, cash
A 31-year-old Macon man told a Bibb County sheriff's deputy he was walking to a friend's house when he was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night by two men.
The man was walking east on Hanson Street, near the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Broadway Street, before 7:30 p.m. when the two men accosted him, according to an incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
The men wanted to know what the 31-year-old was doing in that part of town, according to the report. Upon hearing the man was walking to a friend's house, one of the two suspects pulled out a black automatic handgun and made him lie on the ground. The men got away with a pair of white Nike Air Jordan shoes, $200 cash, sunglasses and the victim's Chicago Bulls hat, according to the report.
The victim walked to Houston Avenue where he flagged down a passerby for help, according to the report.
