Man arrested, charged in south Bibb County cutting, shooting
A 54-year-old man was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in connection to an incident that left him shot in the shoulder and 21-year-old Kory Icard cut in the stomach.
Chucky Dupree and Icard were at a gathering at a home in the 7300 block of Nowell Road South on Saturday night, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. Dupree and Icard began arguing after a dog belonging to a resident at the home snipped at Dupree's wife, causing a small scratch.
During the argument, Dupree attacked Icard with a knife, which resulted in Icard shooting Dupree, the release said. Both men were taken to a local hospital and treated for their injuries.
Dupree is charged with aggravated assault and has a bond of $16,700. Icard is not being charged at this time.
