Monroe County Sheriff's Office: Woman found dead after night of drinking games
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the recent death of a woman who was playing drinking games the night before her body was found.
After spending Christmas night playing drinking games involving three types of liquor, 30-year-old Roxanne High was found dead by her boyfriend Dec. 26, said Capt. Ben Cook.
"(The boyfriend) got up the next morning, and she wasn't in the bed (so) he went looking for her and found her on the floor, cold to the touch," Cook said.
High was pronounced dead in a house in the 6400 block of Ga. 42 South, and her body was sent to the crime lab for an autopsy due to her age and no known medical history, Cook said.
"(Alcohol) may have nothing to do with it," Cook said. "(The boyfriend) just mentioned that they had been playing drinking games the night before."
High's death remains under investigation.
