Man playing gaming machines robs Macon convenience store

A man who was playing gaming machines Sunday night robbed the store.

Just after 9 p.m., Bibb County sheriff's deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Boomtown Internet Cafe at 1544 Eisenhower Parkway, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The gunman, who was wearing black clothing, played the games for a while before he demanded money from the cash drawer and ran from the store.

Anyone with information about the holdup is urged to call for an investigator at 478-751-7500 or leave an anonymous tip at Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
