Man charged in vehicle break-ins at Macon businesses

A man has been charged with breaking into vehicles at two Macon businesses.

Richard Thomas, 47, of Macon, was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of entering an auto, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office release. He is being held on $3,900 bond.

The arrests came after Deputy Tony Moss followed up on information received about a possible suspect, the release stated. Moss also recognized Thomas in surveillance video from one of the businesses, the release stated.

The break-ins involved three vehicles at two locations. One was at Safeway Auto Sales on Pio Nono Avenue and the other was Wade's Detail Shop on Napier Avenue.
