Macon-Bibb authorities investigating woman's "suspicious death"
A 37-year-old woman was found dead early Sunday in a home in the 3400 block of Sandra Faye Drive off Pio Nono Avenue in Macon.
Torneika Bond was dead in the downstairs level of the house at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
She was last seen by a man living there at about 5 p.m. Saturday, Bibb County Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley said.
The man told investigators he brought her to his home after a party at about 2 a.m. Saturday, but didn't realize she was still there until he found her body downstairs early Sunday, Miley said.
"We don't think there's any foul play or anything," Miley said. "We didn't see any sign of trauma, nothing obvious."
Macon-Bibb deputy Linda Howard said the sheriff's office is considering it a "suspicious death" until an autopsy can determine how Bond died.
