Man shot at mobile home park in Peach County

A man is in stable condition following a shooting at a mobile home park in Peach County on Friday night.

Sheriff Terry Deese said the shooting happened at about 10:45 p.m. at Grove Estates Mobile Home Park, which is on U.S. 41 near the old Middle Georgia Raceway.

People were inside a mobile home there when someone outside fired several shots into it. A shot struck the victim, Andrew Ball.

Deese said Ball was a visitor and Deese did not know Ball's age or where he is from. Ball was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, and underwent surgery.

Deese said witnesses reported seeing a gold, 1990s model Chevy Impala speeding away from the mobile home park after the shooting.

The GBI is assisting the sheriff's office in the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 478-825-8629.
