Macon man accused of hurling hatchet at wife
A Macon man was taken to jail Saturday afternoon after allegedly threatening to kill his wife, biting her and throwing a hatchet at her.
Christopher Tomberlin's mother was on the phone with her daughter-in-law Saturday and heard her son say he was going to kill his wife, according to arrest warrants.
The hatchet missed the woman and lodged in a door inside the couple's home on Flamingo Drive, the warrant said.
A Bibb County sheriff's investigator noted the wife had what appeared to be a bite mark on her left hand where Tomberlin allegedly bit her during the incident.
He was being held Tuesday in the Bibb County jail on family violence charges of aggravated assault, battery and terroristic threats.
