Fourth Macon man arrested in connection with August shooting incident

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has arrested a fourth man in connection with an August shooting.

Macon resident Damien Fryer, 23, was wanted for charges related to the incident, which happened in front of Young's Grocery at 2760 Montpelier Ave. on Aug. 24.

Deputies were called to Triangle Package Store on Napier Avenue on Saturday for a suspected shoplifting, where Fryer was arrested and charged with shoplifting, possession of marijuana and a probation violation, according to a release. For his role in the August incident, Fryer picked up assault, firearms, gang and obstruction charges.

Macon residents Donte Andrews, Dontavis Jackson and Rodney Roquemore Jr. have already been charged in connection with the shooting.
