Three Monroe County thefts under investigation
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating three separate thefts in Bolingbroke in the past week.
On Wednesday about 11:30 a.m., an unknown black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and brown boots entered the Country Oaks Feed Store. While employees helped another customer, the man took cash out of the unattended register and left in what investigators believe to be a 2000-2004 black Nissan Sentra. The suspect and his vehicle were captured on surveillance footage.
On Friday, Stihl edgers, backpack blowers and string trimmers were taken from Cutting Edge Landscape. The value of the equipment was estimated to be more than $40,000.
And on Saturday about 5 a.m., suspects took cigarettes during a burglary at the Marathon Gas Station on U.S. 41.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 478-742-2330 or the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at 478-994-7043.
