Gunman robs Macon auto parts store on Vineville Avenue
A man with a silver revolver made off with cash from a Macon auto parts store Thursday night.
Just before 8:30 p.m., a black man with a camouflage scarf hiding most of his face demanded cash from a clerk at O'Reilly Auto Parts at 3125 Vineville Ave., according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
An employee opened the register, and the robber grabbed money and ran out in an unknown direction.
He was about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a husky build. He was wearing sunglasses and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME, or leave a message for an investigator at 751-7500.
