Domino's Pizza worker shot in north Macon robbery attempt

A 27-year-old worker at Domino's Pizza was shot Monday night during an attempted armed robbery at the business at 4682 Forsyth Road.

Timdra Rutledge was wounded in the abdomen in a scuffle with a gunman who demanded money, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Just before 11:30 p.m. Monday, the gunman walked to the back of the store near Wesleyan College and confronted Rutledge, who was treated and released from the Medical Center, Navicent Health.

The gunman ran out of the store toward the back of the building and got away without any money.

No further information was available about his clothing or description.
