Macon drug bust leads to 9 arrests, 71 citations in Unionville
After reports of illegal activity, the SWAT Team and Bibb County sheriff's patrol deputies busted an alleged illegal shot house early Sunday and arrested nine people.
About 4 a.m. Sunday, officers served a search warrant at 619 Poppy Ave. in Unionville and found nearly 75 people inside, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They recovered several bags of powder cocaine and marijuana and eight firearms from the property, including one that was reported stolen.
Deputies arrested 43-year-old Angelia Nickell Mintz and charged her with maintaining a disorderly house and a probation violation.
They also cited 71 people for being present at a dive, according to the release.
Eight other people were arrested on various charges. Darius Markease Young, 22, had warrants for battery and cruelty to children; Sheldon James Beard Jr., 28, was wanted for battery; Craven Stan Bradley II, 29, was charged with possession of a firearm under first offender status.
Five others were arrested for probation violations: Constance Rashell Fordham, 31; Alexander Brock Ray, 25; Anthony Meyoun Murphy, 27; Nicholas Lataj Griggs, 24, and Larry Donnell Harris II, 28.
