Man charged with burglary, aggravated assault in Macon nightclub incident

A 22-year-old Macon man was charged with commercial burglary and aggravated assault early Sunday morning after he allegedly used a gun to threaten an employee at The Crazy Bull, 473 Second St., according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Austin Eugene Hyatt is accused of trying several times to enter the business at about 6:50 a.m., according to a news release.

Eventually, Hyatt entered the business and was approached by an employee who escorted him outside. Hyatt retrieved a pistol from his truck and threatened the employee who went back inside and called deputies, according to the release.

Deputies arrived minutes later and took Hyatt into custody without incident. No one was injured, according to the release.
