Bibb deputies catch Pio Nono bank robbery suspect in the act

A man handed a note to a Bank of America teller demanding money, but Bibb deputies nabbed him before he left the building.

At about 11 a.m., the man, identified as Anthony Tremayne Wilson, tried to hold up the bank at 3855 Pio Nono Ave., said Deputy Clay Williams, a public information officer for the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

"He approached the clerk with a note saying, 'I have a gun. Give me money,' " Williams said.

The teller hit the alarm, and within about a minute deputies were on the scene, he said.

Wilson was taken into custody without incident.
