Bibb County sheriff's deputies will visit neighbors in Lynmore Estates Thursday evening in a Walk for Safety.

The neighborhood off Mead Road is the latest community targeted for the effort to strengthen the partnership between the public and law enforcement.

Officers and those wishing to walk will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Countryside Baptist Church at 667 Carmen Place.

Authorities will talk to neighbors about what is needed to keep their community safe.

Officers want to hear about suspicious activity, loitering and note vacant overgrown lots.

The sheriff's office began these walks earlier this year and have already visited Unionville and Kings Park in east Bibb County.

The sheriff's office plans to continue the walks in other neighborhoods.
