Man shot in leg on Charlotte Street in Macon

A man told Bibb County deputies he was shot by an unknown person while walking along Charlotte Street early Thursday morning.

According to a news release, Jonathan Hall showed up at the Medical Center, Navicent Health with a gunshot wound. When deputies responded, Hall told them he was walking along Charlotte Street near Capitol Avenue shortly after midnight when he heard what sounded like two gunshots.

He said he felt a burning sensation in his left leg. He walked back home and had someone drive him to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

Hall told officials he did not see anyone and did not know where the shots came from.
