Suspect wanted in Macon shooting turns himself in

A man turned himself in to authorities late Monday and faces charges related to a shooting outside a gym in the Unionville neighborhood.

Qadarrius “Pee Wee” Redding, 18, turned himself in about 9 p.m. and was booked into the Bibb County jail on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and criminal street gang activity, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Redding is charged with shooting James Bradley outside the Frank Johnson recreation center just before midnight Oct. 7. Another person, Quontavious Montgomery, was with Bradley at the time, but he was not hit by gunfire.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for the on-call gang investigator or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
