Robber in Halloween mask takes Macon Family Dollar bank deposit

A man wearing a red Halloween mask grabbed the bank deposit from a Family Dollar store worker early Sunday.

Just after 7:30 a.m., an employee was leaving the store at 3190 Mercer University Drive when the robber approached and snatched the deposit bag and ran away, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The robber, whose race was unknown to deputies, is described as being tall with a slender build. He was wearing a gray, hooded jacket, blue pants and was carrying a black backpack, the release stated.

He did not use a weapon in the robbery, the release stated.
