Authorities investigating shooting in south Bibb County

A 35-year-old Macon man was shot in the arm by an unknown assailant off Cynthia Avenue early Tuesday morning, according to a news release.

Bibb County sheriff’s deputies responded to The Medical Center, Navicent Health just before 2:30 a.m. about someone with a gunshot wound, according to the release.

The report stated Tod Freeman was in a vehicle traveling down Cynthia Avenue when the shooting occurred.

Freeman told deputies an unknown male, who was part of a large gathering of people who were partying, approached the vehicle after that male yelled “rude comments” at him,

Freeman stated he was then shot in the arm.

The incident is currently under investigation.
