Robbery at Macon river walk leads to two arrests
Two men forced a man out of a van and robbed him Sunday afternoon near the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail on Spring Street.
About 4:15 p.m., the victim was in the passenger seat when one of the men hit him and made him get out of the van before they took a pack of cigarettes and money from his wallet, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The man said he was calling 911, and the robbers ran away from near the Spring Street boat landing.
After deputies posted a lookout, two Macon men were arrested.
Tondi Lind Norsworthy Jr., 27, and Travis Lee Clark, 28, are both charged with robbery.
