Police investigate shooting incident in west Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that reportedly happened early Sunday morning in the 3500 block of Log Cabin Drive.

Zerrick Taylor, a 19-year-old from Macon, received a gunshot wound to the left forearm about 4:30 a.m. and was transported to a local hospital, according to a news release.

Taylor is said to be in stable condition.

“This incident and the circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation,” authorities said.

Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
