Macon apartment shooting on Napier Avenue leads to boyfriend’s arrest

Gunshots flew early Friday morning near the juncture of Napier Avenue, Park Street and Ayers Road.

Just before 1 a.m., 22-year-old Terrod Thomas was arguing with his girlfriend at apartments in the 4100 block of Napier when he started punching her, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The 20-year-old was able to get away.

As he was leaving, Thomas allegedly turned and fired several shots toward the apartment where the woman and five others were inside, the release stated.

Deputies later found Thomas and the gun a few blocks away.

No one was hurt, but bullets did hit an unoccupied car in the parking lot.

Thomas is charged with six counts of aggravated assault.
