Bibb deputies look for suspect in armed robbery at Macon auto parts store

Bibb County deputies are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed an auto parts store on Pio Nono Avenue on Tuesday.

An armed man entered the Advanced Auto Parts store on 3385 Pio Nono Ave. at 6:20 p.m. and demanded money from the store clerk. After receiving an “undisclosed amount of cash,” he fled on foot, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

BCSO said the suspect wore a surgical mask, a red shirt, black shorts and a blue Bonnie cap, according to the news release. He is around 5 feet 8 inches tall.

The incident is under investigation. Deputies urged anyone with information to contact BCSO at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
