GBI investigating fatal shooting of 67-year-old man in Fort Valley apartments
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the fatal shooting of a man at a Fort Valley apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
Evens Jean Baptiste, 67, of Macon, was pronounced dead at 1:14 a.m. at Atrium Health Peach, Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks said.
GBI spokesperson Sara Lue said Tuesday afternoon the Fort Valley Police Department requested the state agency’s assistance with the death investigation.
The FVPD did not respond to media requests prior to publication and no additional details are available at this time.
