Two teenagers were shot Thursday evening at an apartment complex on Mercer University Drive in Macon, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Thursday.

The shooting occurred at River Bend Apartments at 3645 Mercer University Drive around 7:30 p.m. The victims, an 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, arrived at a local medical facility in a personal vehicle, BCSO said.

The 18-year-old is in stable condition, and the 17-year-old is in critical condition, according to the news release.

The incident is under investigation. Deputies said additional information will be provided as details become available.

Deputies urged anyone with information to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with an investigator, or contact the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
