Man arrested, woman in critical condition after shooting in Macon house
A man was charged in a shooting on Westminster Drive in Macon on Tuesday that left a woman in critical condition, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Anthony Allen, 29, was accused of shooting a 24-year-old woman in a domestic dispute, according to the Tuesday news release. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. at a residence in the 1500 block of Westminster Drive.
Deputies arrived at the scene to find the victim with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she is listed in critical condition, the news release said.
The sheriff’s office did not confirm any changes to her condition on Wednesday.
Allen was was charged with aggravated assault, family violence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the news release.
He is being held without bond.
