Deputies investigate fatal shooting in Macon apartment complex
A man died after being shot outside a residence in a Macon apartment complex Tuesday evening, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a 20-year-old man shot at Waverly Pointe Apartments on Forest Hill Road. Witnesses told deputies that the victim was transported to a local hospital by a personal vehicle. He later died at the hospital, according to the news release.
The man was identified as Jordan Darnell Brown. His next of kin was notified, the news release said.
The incident remains under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available, according to deputies.
