A Warner Robins man who federal prosecutors said was a “key member of a drug distribution network” in Macon will serve a lengthy prison term, according to a news release from federal prosecutors Monday.

Antonyo Daniels, 31, will serve more than 20 years in prison for his role in an armed drug trafficking organization in Macon, the news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia said.

He assisted the leader of the organization, Eddie Reese, 53, of Atlanta, in distributing drugs and was a point of contact for other members of the organization, according to the news release.

He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to possess controlled substances with the intent to distribute on Jan. 8, according to federal prosecutors.

The organization used a “trap house” located on Richard Street in Macon as the primary distribution site. It was a “busy” location that operated like a restaurant, according to the news release. Members of Reese’s organization were assigned shifts to distribute drugs.

Reese pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. He awaits sentencing, according to the news release.

Cocaine, firearms and thousands of dollars were seized

The Federal Bureau of Investigation headed “Operation Mobile Order” between 2022 and 2023, which targeted Reese’s organization, the news release said. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office also collaborated with the FBI in the operation.

To conduct their investigation, law enforcement intercepted phones and ran controlled purchases of cocaine and crack cocaine, the news release said. It led to the FBI executing 11 search warrants on Nov. 20, 2023, in Macon, Warner Robins and Atlanta.

One of those locations was the “trap house” on Richard Street in Macon.

Cocaine, 26 firearms and $93,247 were seized as a result. A machine gun also was seized from 43-year-old co-conspirator Alton Oliver’s home on Williamson Road in Macon, according to the news release.

The drug operation “that treated a Macon neighborhood like a retail storefront for cocaine” was dismantled, according to U.S. Attorney Will Keyes.

“No matter how long it takes, we will not stop our efforts to shut down criminal groups threatening the safety of our communities,” Keyes said.

12 people total involved in organization

Federal prosecutors claimed 12 people were involved in the drug trafficking network, including Reese and Daniels, according to the news release.

Four drug distributors — Devonta Jackson, 31, Laderion Jacobs, 30, Ladarrious King, 32, Tanya Card, 51, and Leroy Mintz, 29 — were sentenced.

Jackson, Jacobs, King and Mintz pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to possess controlled substances with the intent to distribute. Card pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base.

Jackson is serving 12 years in prison; Mintz was sentenced to 11 years; and King and Card will serve more than five years in prison.

The following defendants have yet to be sentenced:
