A Warner Robins shoplifter, who has multiple prior convictions, was sentenced to 11 years in prison, according to a news release from Houston County District Attorney Eric Edwards on Monday.

Dwayne Jackson, 58, from Warner Robins, had eight shoplifting convictions before he pleaded guilty to 13 counts of felony theft on March 19, Edwards said. Following his time in prison, he will be on probation for nine years.

Jackson stole power tools and other items from the Lowe’s at 2704 Watson Blvd. in Warner Robins on 13 different occasions between Oct. 20 and Nov. 16, 2025. Surveillance footage and Lowe’s facial recognition software identified Jackson as the suspect, the news release said.

He would use similar methods to shoplift, Edwards said. Jackson “would enter the store, obtain a trash can or large tote, go to the aisle with the power tools, place the tools inside the trash can (or) tote, and exit the store without paying for items,” according to the news release.

When law enforcement executed a search warrant of his house on the 200 block of Holt Avenue, they found the stolen items from Lowe’s. Jackson was taken into custody after being found “hiding inside a bedroom,” the news release said.

Edwards said that Jackson’s repeat offenses demonstrate “a complete disregard for the law and for the businesses that serve this community,” according to the news release.

“Organized, repeat theft like this has real consequences,” Edwards said. “It drives up costs, impacts employees, and undermines the ability of businesses to operate safely and successfully. Our office takes that conduct seriously, especially when it is committed by individuals who have repeatedly been given opportunities to change their behavior and have chosen not to do so.”
