A man who allegedly killed his twin sister and young niece in Oklahoma was arrested in Middle Georgia Sunday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found Gabrielle Wilson, 31, and her 17-month-old daughter dead from gunshots around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, in a home off Old Tarby Road in Poteau, Ok., a rural mountainous city, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said on Instagram.

Grant Hoffman Wilson, 31, was wanted by the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma for “allegedly killing his twin sister and her 17-month-old child,” Monroe deputies said in a news release.

LeFlore County deputies “tracked his vehicle” and alerted Monroe deputies Grant Wilson was traveling through Interstate 475 Southbound around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, or about eight hours after Gabrielle Wilson and her daughter were found dead, the news release said.

Monroe deputies tried to pull over Wilson’s vehicle, but he reportedly continued driving, “which resulted in a brief pursuit,” the MCSO said.

He eventually parked, was arrested without incident and booked into the Monroe County Jail, according to deputies.

Wilson was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and fleeing and obstructing law enforcement, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. He was expected to face a judge this week to be extradited to Oklahoma, according to Anna Watkins, the public information officer of the MCSO.

When the 31-year-old was arrested, deputies reportedly found a pistol, rifle, shotgun, multiple loaded magazines and loose ammunition of various calibers in his vehicle, Watkins said.

“Deputies also located several packed bags containing clothing (and) long-term food supplies,” she said.
