The victims of an alleged double homicide and suicide in a private Macon community were identified Tuesday night, according to the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.

Tuesday morning, Haliegh Summers, a 21-year-old woman, and Brande Summers, Hailey’s 49-year-old mom were allegedly shot to death by Ray Summers, Brande’s 51-year-old husband, according to Coroner Leon Jones and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Ray Summers also allegedly shot and killed his family’s dog and cat during the incident, Jones said.

He fatally shot his family members, pets and himself when deputies tried to evict them from their home in Lake Wildwood, a gated community in north Macon, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is expected to perform autopsies on the bodies of Haliegh, Brande and Ray Summers Friday morning, Jones said.

“All three of them are not going to the same funeral home,” Jones told The Telegraph.

After the autopsies, Haleigh and Brande Summers will go to Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, and Ray Summers will go to a different location, but it was unclear where, Jones said.

It took hours of “foot work” for Jones to find and tell their next of kins that their relatives were dead, Jones said.

“Family was notified by me, not BCSO,” Jones said.
